We care for Native Birds from the Northshore to Kaiwaka
Tucked away in the quiet beauty of Matakana, a small sanctuary hums with the soft flutter of feathers, the chirps of hungry chicks, and the quiet determination of two people who have turned their love for birds into a life’s purpose.
Run by Volunteers, the centre helps sick, injured, or displaced Native Birds from Aucklands Northshore to Kaiwaka.
The Native Nest is a rescue and rehabilitation service – a lifeline for sick or injured Native Birds. Our centre is a haven with access to veterinary care and trained volunteers who assist in a bird’s pathway to recovery and ultimately their release back into their habitat.
